Ahead of the Paddy Power political book awards ceremony on 6 February, Lord Lexden spoke about the enjoyment political books give him. He was one of the judges of the awards.
Alistair, official historian of the Conservative Party and Chairman of the Conservative History Group, said that social media is changing the way historians approach writing books, adding:
"Nobody who feels strongly drawn to the activity of writing should be discouraged. On the contrary, they should be encouraged."
