On November 9 the Lords gave a Second Reading to the Airports (Amendment) Bill. It would safeguard the future of air services between the regions (particularly Northern Ireland) and Heathrow. Current EU law needs to be reformed, as Lord Lexden emphasised in his speech, so that the Bill can come into effect successfully.
