The Tamworth based Peel Society recently launched their new publication Peel in Caricature in the House of Lords.
The launch was hosted by Lord Lexden, life member of the Society and Peel Society Patron. Lord Hurd attended and congratulated the Society on its initiative to buy the hand painted prints in the first place and then publish them in a book with explanations of their importance from Dr. Richard Gaunt and Professor Fintan Cullen.
Tamworth M.P., Christopher Pincher attended and emphasized what a lovely Christmas present it will make. He is arranging for it to be mentioned in the Parliamentary Christmas book review.
The event was also attended by members of the Peel family, including two great great grandsons of the Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel, The Hon. Robert Peel and Robin Thorne.
