On 22 November he addressed over 200 year ten pupils at Mayflower High School in Billericay as part of the Lord Speaker’s ‘ Peers in Schools ‘ Outreach Programme. This was his second such school visit. After explaining the role of the Upper House and giving an indication of his own recent activities, he answered questions on wide variety of subjects including constitutional reform, human rights and levels of pay in the medical profession.
