Lord Lexden calls on the Church of England to condemn the criminalisation of homosexuality in Commonwealth countries

In a debate in the Lords on June 4 he referred to the great influence which it has in Commonwealth countries. A strong public statement from it was needed in view of the support given by Churches in a number of Commonwealth countries to the oppression of gay people.
