The Conservative History Group, of which Alistair Lexden is Chairman, produces an annual journal. The 2015 edition, running to 70 lavishly illustrated pages, has been published this week.

The highlights of the new edition are perhaps a sharp analysis of Winston Churchill’s distinctly rocky finances and an article on a brave and successful woman Conservative MP, Mavis Tate, who was deeply traumatised by a visit to Buchenwald in April 1945 and committed suicide two years later. Alistair Lexden’s contributions include the text of the address which he delivered in June to mark the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo.

Anyone interested in receiving a copy of the journal or in finding out more about the Group, which was established in 2002 and is now run by Mr Stephen Parkinson( who also edits the journal), should email [email protected].
