In January 2020, Alistair Lexden published a short account of the scandalous career of Horace Farquhar (1844-1923), a man who won great wealth and high rank by  unscrupulous means. A fuller version, incorporating much additional information, has been published in the June edition of the journal, Parliamentary History. A copy is attached.
