Alistair Cooke becomes Baron Lexden

Lord Lexden, formerly known as Alistair Cooke, has taken his seat in the House of Lords today, after being made a life peer on the recommendation of Rt Hon David Cameron MP, the Prime Minister, last month. Alistair's full title is Baron Lexden, of Lexden in the County of Essex and Strangford in the County of Down.
